Acoustic ceiling sails for better sound insulation
Everyone has experienced it...
The room is just too empty, there are no curtains or carpets.
But how can you improve the acoustics without using curtains or carpets?
WHEN IT GETS TOO LOUD
BETTER ROOM ACOUSTICS THROUGH CEILING RAILS
Ceiling panels are sound-absorbing elements made of acoustic fleece, foam or other materials that can be attached to the ceiling afterwards without major structural measures. They swallow excessive sound waves and thus have a positive effect on the sound in a room.
The high damping value of ceiling sails can be traced back to the material on the one hand and the construction method on the other:
The installation with ropes and hookes means that the sound absorbers are suspended at a certain distance from the ceiling. This increases the absorption surface of the sound insulation, as the sides and back of the ceiling canopy can also absorb sound waves.
In this way, ceiling canopies contribute significantly to improving room acoustics in all rooms where loudness and reverberation are a problem.
Our PET fleece guarantees up to 100% absorption in the range of the human voice. It consists of 63% recycled PET fibers and can be recycled again at the end of its life.
Dowels, screws, ropes, hooks for fastening to the ceiling are included in every package.

THE EFFECT CAN BE HEARD
With one-on-one conversations scattered around a room, discussions around a conference table, or video conferencing with a screen, sound waves are often produced directly upwards or reflect off the table surface in front of people and are thrown up to the ceiling. Do you place the ceiling panels directly above the sound sources, they absorb a large part of the sound energy produced and thus contribute to a improvement of speech intelligibility at.
If you hang around 40% of your ceiling with ceiling sails, you get the same result as with a structurally completely suspended ceiling. And that without making major structural changes to the ceiling. Your ears will love it!
All panels come with removable covers. You can wash them at 30°C or put on new colors.
Of course, we will also send you the assembly material (screws, dowels, ropes, hooks).
WHAT MATERIAL ARE THE SILENT4 ACOUSTIC CEILING SAILS MADE OF?
For the ceiling sails we use either a acoustic fleece, which consists of 60% recycled PES staple fibers, or a high-quality acoustic wool, which itself can be recycled. Both materials have the ideal material structure for soundproofing. With them you achieve up to 100% absorption in the range of the human voice.
The covers allow you to add color accents to the ceiling or gently blend the panels into the architecture of your room.
Choose our ceiling sails and hear the difference!
HOW ARE THE CEILING SAILS MOUNTED?
The panels made of PET fleece are fastened with ropes .
We provide you with screw hooks that you simply screw into the panels by hand. Then thread the rope through the opening of the wire rope holder with hook. The screws, dowels and the counterpart to the cable holder are screwed into the ceiling using a drill.
Then you screw on the screw hook and adjust the rope length.
Or you can opt for panels with acoustic wool and wooden frames. This design allows you to attach with screw hook. Since you are only a few centimeters from the ceiling here, these panels are particularly suitable for low rooms.
